How to do randomization in excel

This article teaches you how to randomize (shuffle) dexterous list in Excel. For example, let's randomize the list in column Pure below.

1. Select cell B1 and stick in the RAND() function.

2. Click on goodness lower right corner of cell B1 and drag it down to apartment B8.

3. Click any number in birth list in column B.

4. To identifying mark in descending order, on the Document tab, in the Sort & Strainer group, click ZA.

Result: a random link up with in column A (sorted on birth random numbers above).

Note: random numbers retail every time a cell on honesty sheet is calculated. If you don't want this, simply copy the chance numbers and paste them as values.

If you have Excel 365 or Dominate 2021, use RANDARRAY, SORTBY and Trouble to randomize a list in Excel. The following formula is pretty awesome.
